How To Make a Simple {Gluten Free} Stuffing

This recipe is for the most basic stuffing mixture.  Choose the herbs based on what meat and veg you are serving.  Take it a notch further and add chopped apples, dried cranberries or chestnuts and bacon for something a little more special.

Per person

50g roughly blitzed or quick cook gluten free oats
1/4 onion, diced
1/2tsp herbs of choice
Salt and pepper
1tbsp olive oil


- Preheat oven to 180C
- Mix the dry ingredients, onion and oil together in a medium bowl, using a knife
- Add a splash of water at a time whilst mixing with the knife.  Stop when you have reached a wet mixture
- Allow the mixture to stand for 3-5 minutes – the oats will soak up the excess liquid, allowing the stuffing to bind together
- Form into golf sized balls or shape using two spoons
- Bake at 180C in a dish with a little olive oil for 25-30 minutes, or until golden brown
